What do YOU want the future of music in Scotland to look like?
Join the MEPG Youth Forum for…
We Make Music Now!
In this free interactive online session, you’ll explore how to access opportunities for playing and learning music, and how to use your voice to advocate for more music in your area.
We’ll be chatting about the campaign to keep instrumental tuition free, including a conversation with Graeme Smillie, who has been researching the impact of free music lessons for young people in Scotland. We’ll also hear from Emily Major of Make/Change Collective, a young musician and activist who runs a collaborative music project for young songwriters in Dumfries & Galloway.
You’ll get a chance to chat with other young musicians and work collaboratively to create a vision for what you want the future of music in Scotland to look like.
The session will be run by our MEPG Youth Forum members Cameron Clark and Freya Edington, young music leaders who are passionate about making music education available to everyone. If you’re interested in joining the Youth Forum, we’d love to hear from you!
