MEPG Youth Forum

Shape the future of music education

The MEPG Youth Forum is a group of young people aged 16 to 25 who care about music education in Scotland. They meet regularly to discuss the issues that are important to them and how they can advocate for change in the sector. Young voices are vital to MEPG’s vision for the future of music education and we are delighted to work with this passionate team of young people.

The MEPG Youth Forum explores a variety of issues, including:

  • understanding what music education looks like now in Scotland and how it is   changing
  • widening access to music education and making it available to people of all backgrounds
  • improving the quality of music education
  • expanding our ideas of what a career in music can look like
  • advocating for the inherent value of music and the creative arts, and its important role in society
