An amateur orchestra rehearsing and performing in Dundee for more than 100 years. Non auditioned though limited access for wind and brass. Perform 3 annual concerts – 2 of these in Dundee’s marvellous Caird Hall – of usually classical music. Mostly adults but can take schoolchildren if of adequate competency. Current membership of about 85 players. Members drawn across whole of Tayside and Fife and even a few in Aberdeenshire.
