Primary – Charanga Musical School

Charanga’s award-winning Musical School programme includes several ready-made Schemes of Work to help educators – and non-music specialists particularly – teach Curriculum for Excellence. A customisable library of songs, creative tools, interactive teaching resources, and more are included.
For teachers who perhaps work more flexibly, Charanga’s Freestyle Library allows users to mix and match resources from the Charanga platform with their own. Educators can find and save resources linked to many other areas of music-making in their school throughout the programme.
Musical School also houses YuStudio, a user-friendly, cloud-based digital audio workstation (DAW) for schools, allowing aspiring young producers to make music online. ‘Create With YuStudio’ projects support older primary-aged children in learning how to arrange and mix compositions. Teacher Guides and video tutorials support educators at every step. A licence gives every teacher and student unlimited access to the award-winning software.
Support for remote, hybrid and blended learning is provided via Yumu, a password-protected online space where students can learn, play and develop their musicianship. You’ll also find an array of singing resources, a dedicated ASN section, and courses for popular classroom music instruments in the programme.
