Music Plus Mentoring is completely free, thanks to funding and support from Creative Scotland’s YMI, and is available to anybody aged 14-19 and living anywhere in Scotland. The programme looks to help prospective musicians and music industry professionals learn directly from those already forging a career in performing, songwriting, promoting, publishing, running a record label… anything to do with music!
Mentoring support ranges from instrumental tuition, advice with education, shadowing, coaching, support and making more meaningful connections within the industries. Additional support comes from the Scottish Music Centre’s connections with numerous industry bodies and educational institutions, festivals, media, venues, promoters, publishers and record labels.
