
Instrumental Tuition

Lessons are delivered in groups by Erskine Arts tutors, and range from Ukulele lessons for P3 – P5, Piano lessons from P3 to S6, and guitar, bass and drum lessons for p5-S6. Lessons are very reasonably priced at £20 per month, or roughly £6 per class. Groups are arranged by ability level. Further guidance on Erskine Arts instrumental tuition can be found here:


Adult Lessons

In addition to the programme of instrumental lessons available to those of school age, Erskine Arts also caters for those over the age of 18 who want to learn guitar, drums or piano. Booking is also conducted over the Erskine Arts Website:
Youth Jam Sessions

Erskine Arts run a free of charge jam night for secondary aged young people. Facilitated by Erskine Arts tutors, the jam night gives young people the opportunity to develop their instrumental skills in group and band contexts, whether working on covers or original music, in a safe and supportive environment.


Adult Jam Sessions

In addition to focussed instrumental lessons, there is also the opportunity for adults to try out new instrumental skills in group and band contexts, whether working on covers or perhaps working on your own music, in a safe and supportive environment, facilitated by Erskine Arts tutors. This is completely free of charge.
Piece N Music

Piece N Music is also completely free of charge and run by volunteers on Mondays and Fridays between 11am-1pm. The simple premise is that people can get together and listen to music over a free bowl of soup and a sandwich.



The Crew

The Crew meet once a week on Tuesdays between 4:30pm until 6:30pm to discuss and operationalise the cultural strategy and activity of Erskine Arts. There are specific workshops that tackle podcast creation, social media content, film-making and external activity and hires, that The Crew regularly staff.

PA and Production Hires

As a way of increasing opportunities and facilitating transitions into the world of education and work, Erskine Arts also provide PA hires for events around Renfrewshire, staffed and run by Crew members and volunteers. Run as a commercial business, PA and staging can be provided for smaller acoustic events and book festivals, medium events such as music events and conferences, right up to outdoor stages and Gala day events.
