Based in and around Glasgow since 2003, The Sound Lab are a grassroots, volunteer-run charity providing creative opportunity to loads of communities across Glasgow and beyond.
They believe that ‘music matters’ and that music and creativity shouldn’t just be available for those who can readily access it and afford it: it should be available to everyone. Our vision is that, irrespective of age, gender, race, ethnicity or economic background, everyone should be able to access the resources and support they need to fulfil their creative potential.
They are a proudly small organisation; made up of a dedicated team of volunteers and expert tutors who, together, bring free music and creativity to hundreds of people every year.
Their projects cover anything creative – singing, songwriting, electronic music production, drums, guitar, keyboard, samba drumming, DJ skills, MC skills, song writing, film-making, photography, graffiti art and editing, audio recording, live performance, production and recording.
